Our experience in color printing will help provide you with the best possible print from your digital file. We will provide you with a custom digital print as we have done for many of our customers previously ordering optical prints. Many photographers are finding the task of color printing can be left to Lightbox. While you are shooting the next project, we are taking care of your workflow, ensuring the quality of your prints is the absolute best available. You will notice the difference and so will your customers.
Lightbox provides quality capture of your Originals for the purpose of Giclee Reproductions as well as Digital Archives. We use a custom built fixture to hold various sizes and shapes of Art, and carefully controlled lighting. Though we prefer to capture your pieces unframed, we are able to provide reflection-free captures even from works under glass.
Lightbox provides the highest quality scans for Archives or for imaging use when producing prints from your original Color and Black and White Films. Scanning of Color negatives has become a lost art, and we are no stranger to the process. Our past of creating Internegatives, and Contrast Masks has forged our ability to produce high quality results even from color negative materials. These Scans will be made on a Imacon X5 Flextight Drum Scanner. Normal Scans are done in 8-bit per channel Adobe 1998 RGB Color Space. Legacy Archive Scans are done in 16-bit per channel wide gamut RGB color spaces such as Ekta Space , or ProPhoto RGB.
At LightBox we specialize in framing photographs and Giclee Prints. Typically we dry mount the image on archival Crescent RagMat® premium museum boards. Then we cut the window mat in the gallery style or to your specifications. Our frames are high quality Nielsen® aluminum frames with True Vue® Conservation Glass or Acry-Lite® OP-3 museum acrylic.
